Sacred Valley Peru

The Sacred Valley of the Incas, also known as the Urubamba Valley, is a valley located in the Andes of Peru, approximately 20 kilometers north of the Inca capital, Cusco. This valley is situated in the current Peruvian region of Cusco. The picturesque and historic Sacred Valley is a popular tourist attraction. In 2013, it is estimated that 1.2 million people, including 800,000 non-Peruvians, visited Machu Picchu, the most renowned archaeological site in the valley. Many of these tourists also explored other archaeological sites and contemporary towns within the Sacred Valley.
