Hato River Panama

Río Hato is one of the 10 townships that comprise the district of Antón in the province of Coclé, Panama. It has a population of approximately 15,000 residents. Traditionally, the name of this region is believed to have originated from its colonial times when it was dedicated to livestock farming, an activity referred to as herd at that time. Additionally, due to the proximity of rivers, the region was named Río del Hato, which was later simplified to Río Hato. It's important to note that the Afro-colonial population is predominant in this area, descendants of the slaves brought by the Spanish to work during the colonial era. Alongside this, there is also a mestizo population. Río Hato boasts beautiful white sand beaches, as well as some spectacular hotels and resorts. But that's not all, here you can engage in a variety of activities, savor its cuisine, its history, and its culture, enjoy water sports, golf, adventure excursions, and so on.
